The introduction of the buggy was perfect for the size and expanse of the map, you can’t exactly run everywhere(altho I do since i suck at driving anyway haha).

It’s not supposed to be like the main campaign, it’s a pretty much free roam map for the most part and many love that aspect. I’ve never heard anyone put down the Following story but since u haven’t finished it yet, it may still grow on ya. Mediocre driving mechanism (I feel like the one in Dead Island was better but can misremember, it's been ages since I played DI) and annoying virals that jump on the car really bring down what was supposed to be a selling point of the expansion. Third (and worst): The buggy is really underwhelming. They could've gone the easy way with "Jade-light" but managed to write her differently. Also the story seems, so far, not as interesting as base game. Second: I never enjoyed a storyline that requires you to do the sidequests to progress through main quest. I know that Haran is not supposed to be realistic but the setting has become a bit too generic. Also the area looks much less Arabic and more like American countryside. There are very few games set in northern African cities but there is a plethora of zombie survival games set in rural areas. Also, the game loses much of its visual identity. However, The Following is one minor disappointment after another and they begin to stack ugly now.įirst of all: Countryside settings means much less parkour, which was easily the most fun part.
